This publication contains a full version of Gianfranco Sanguinetti’s text of The Pussy, Past and Present - wich is the introduction to Jason Rhoades’s book 1724 , Birth of the Cunt. 333 copies were printed at the Trico Press in Prague on Savanna Gmund paper made from tobacco leaves. 99 copies of these were designed and produced with Silverbridge as a special edition. For this special edition, Jason Rhoades made an etching Me and a Pretty Little Pussy, which was printed in Prague on the Holland paper, by the master engraver Drimal. At the bottom of all etchings a stamp quotes the words: ‘HIC RHODUS – HIC SALTA’. The boxes were made by the Halfar workshop in Prague. The lettering of 2o special velvet clamshell boxes, made by René Boré, was designed by Silverbridge, gilt printed by atelier Martial in Paris and bound by René Boré. This edition is dedicated to Jason Rhoades and as a tribute to him Gianfranco Sanguinetti added a glossary of 639 synonyms for the female genitalia in Czech.This dictionary is illustrated with 52 erotic ex-libris by several artists from the first third of the 20th century, printed in a two-colour process.
