Talk by Véronique Bourgoin: on her edition “Willie ou pas Willie ?”( (1997) and Juli Susin’s edition Inukshuk (1989-1997)

Inukshuk (1989-1997), a book by Juli Susin with drawing/rubbing, uses a printing technique that Susin designed especially for this publication. The investigation of transgenic media feeds Susin’s artistic practice from the beginning, up to more recent work in progress such as “The room of fulfilled dreams.”

Willie ou pas Willie ? by Véronique Bourgoin (1997) is the tittle of the first edition of Véronique Bourgoin, a cryptic combination between photographs and comics. A decade and a half later, this edition reincarnates in a number of projects such as Vrai ou Faux? the 1/1 scale reproduction of the interiors of different living rooms or the series of Clouds photographs, square halos, metaphors of an abstract space where the image is generated by the numbe
